In anticipation of Mother's Day, we're looking at some of the mothers found in the Bible. Today, Sarah.
The stories aren't always simple. Sure, it's easy to paint Sarah as the portrait of patience, waiting decades for God to fulfill His promise of Sarah bearing a son. However, Sarah did have her doubts. After all, she was only human. In the end, of course, as He always does, God fulfilled his promise.
Genisis 21:5-: Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. Sarah said, “God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.” And she added, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.”
