Matthew 6:19-21, 24 and Hebrews 13:1 and 5 (not 1-5)
Another Scripture making us think twice about our focus… It couldn’t be any clearer. If we choose to be focused on the future, then the things of this world – the treasures of earth – will have to take second place to heavenly treasures. This frees us up to use earthy treasures (our money, etc.) to make room to store up heavenly treasures. The writer of Hebrews gives us reassurance that God will always be with us if we will take the risk to love our money and earthly stuff less than our future reward.
