Sarah Birmingham Drummond wrote: "As Christians, we are shaped by more than our own experiences; we are shaped by our hopes, by the future into which we are living, and by the convictions by which we are living. Hope is best perceived with the eyes of the heart. Hope is best lived within the hopeful community, in the company of saints both living and departed." We all need hope! Life can be a range of every emotion - both positive and negative. How blessed we are to live together as brothers and sisters in Christ. We can be hopeful alone, but how much greater our hope as we are connected as Christians, both with those on earth and those in heaven? May this be a message of hope, especially for those who are remembering their loved ones on this special Sunday.
