Lehman Members and Friends,

It seems our church building has seen better days. Perhaps you have heard, IF you were able to hear our Sunday broadcast, that the boiler burned a hole in itself on Friday. We're counting our blessings that nothing worse took place, but we're not exactly happy about having no heat in our building and having to make immediate, costly repairs! You may have noticed that the worship leaders were all bundled up ... and will be for future livestreams until the boiler is replaced.

For that reason alone, we will have to modify (once again) our plans for worship on Sunday mornings. First, there will be NO IN-PERSON WORSHIP until further notice. You will not enjoy sitting in a frigid sanctuary, no matter how much you want to be together! In addition, we are going to a single service livestream at 10 AM only in a blended style, we have done this before during the pandemic, and many of you have appreciated getting to hear a little bit of every style, which will continue. The main reason for this change is again due to a cold sanctuary. Our leaders and volunteers will have to endure the cold for almost two hours as it is, given what they need to do to be prepared to offer the livestream. We appreciate your understanding, and especially your prayers! We'll let you know how things progress toward getting it all fixed.

Please accept our apologies for a less than adequate livestream this past Sunday. In addition to our boiler burning out, we had very large leaks in fellowship Hall , AND our wifi went down, hence the poor quality. The internet service is back up and running, and we're looking at the roof. We truly are doing all we can to remain faithful stewards and leaders. However, we understand the frustration you have over poor livestreams.\

This Sunday, we will celebrate Holy Communion, which we had planned to do as we thought we'd be able to be together in the sanctuary. It's still the First Sunday in Lent, so, it's a great time to share communion to begin the journey. We'll also end our journey together with communion on Easter Sunday. We will not have communion on March 7th. If you do not have a communion kit from the church, feel free to use a cracker or piece of bread and water. We will make the communion kits available to pick up for the Easter service (if you didn't get yours Ash Wednesday during the drive-through) beginning next week during pantry hours (9 a.m. - noon, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday).

Many thanks to Stephen for editing the Ash Wednesday service, and also to Karl for pulling together a great-looking website. we are all reminded that we are "moving on to perfection," so constructive comments are welcome!

In closing, the pastors wish to share how nice it was to see some of you yesterday, and that we miss seeing you regularly and all together. There is a day soon before us when we can get back to one of the major purposes of the church - to fellowship! Until then, we wish you warm Sunday mornings in front of your computer!

Blog comments will be sent to the moderator
